AmalfiDuo is operated by BeMediq LLC, doing business as AmalfiDuo™. AmalfiDuo coordinates access to telemedicine services through the Nexu Health platform. Medical services are provided by licensed, independent healthcare professionals practicing through Beluga Health, P.A.
This Code of Conduct establishes the professional, ethical, privacy, security, and patient-care standards expected of all clinicians providing care to AmalfiDuo patients.
It supplements applicable laws, professional licensing requirements, Beluga Health policies, Nexu Health platform requirements, and condition-specific clinical protocols. Medication eligibility, contraindications, interactions, dosing, and monitoring requirements are addressed separately in the applicable clinical protocols.
All medical decisions must be made according to the treating provider’s independent clinical judgment and the applicable standard of care. Patient safety must always take priority over patient demand, marketing language, operational preferences, or commercial considerations.
Telemedicine may be unfamiliar to some patients, and sexual-health concerns can be especially personal. Providers must communicate with sensitivity, discretion, and without judgment.
Care must never be influenced by a patient’s gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship status, sexual activity, or reasons for seeking treatment.
Always provide a clear explanation whether you determine that treatment is appropriate or not.
Patients come to AmalfiDuo because they need professional guidance and care.
- Explain:The basis for your clinical decisionImportant benefits, limitations, and risks
- Reasonable treatment alternatives
- Additional information or evaluation that may be needed
- Why treatment was declined, deferred, or changed, when applicable
- Appropriate next steps and follow-up
Do not guarantee results or repeat promotional language as medical advice.
Use the approved Nexu Health messaging and follow-up tools. Respond to patient questions, reported side effects, and treatment concerns within the timeframes established by Beluga Health.
When additional monitoring is clinically appropriate, arrange it according to the applicable protocol. If extended unavailability is anticipated, follow the designated coverage and notification process.
Before providing care, confirm the patient’s identity using the approved verification process and the identifying information available in the patient’s account and existing health history. Confirm that key details, such as the patient’s name, date of birth, and contact information, are consistent.
Government-issued photo identification may be requested when required by law, clinical protocol, platform policy, or the treating provider.
Confirm the patient’s physical location when required for licensing, telemedicine, or prescribing purposes.
Providers must be licensed or otherwise legally authorized to provide care in the state where the patient is physically located.
Do not provide medical advice or prescribe treatment until all applicable state-specific telemedicine and provider-patient relationship requirements have been satisfied.
When a licensing, consent, location, or state-specific requirement is unclear, pause the consultation and seek guidance through the designated Beluga Health clinical or compliance channel.
Review consultations in a timely and orderly manner, generally prioritizing patients who have been waiting the longest unless an urgent clinical concern requires immediate attention.
Complete one consultation at a time. Do not intervene in a consultation already being handled by another provider unless the case has been reassigned, coverage has been requested, or an additional clinical opinion is needed.
Treatment decisions must be based on the patient’s clinical presentation, health history, symptoms, treatment goals, and applicable standards of care.
Clinical judgment must never be influenced by:The product selected by the patient
- Payment or checkout status
- Prescribing volume or approval rates
- Conversion goalsMarketing claims
- Commercial or operational preferences
Completing an intake or requesting a specific treatment does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed.
Before making a treatment decision, review the patient’s:
- Medical history and allergies
- Current prescription and nonprescription medications
- Vitamins and supplements
- Relevant substance use
- Previous treatment plans
- Potential contraindications and drug interactions
Follow the current clinical protocol for the exact medication, combination, strength, and dosage form being considered.
Never prescribe when the available information is insufficient to determine that treatment is safe and medically appropriate.
When information is unclear:
- Ask the patient for clarification
- Request additional measurements, records, or documentation
- Obtain another clinical opinion
- Refer the patient for in-person evaluation
- Defer or decline treatment when necessary
When uncertain about a contraindication, interaction, protocol, or safety issue, use the designated Beluga Health clinical-escalation process.
Use the applicable emergency and escalation protocols when a patient reports a potentially serious medical or mental-health concern.
Providers are responsible for remaining familiar with current clinical protocols, including requirements concerning eligibility, prescribing, informed consent, contraindications, interactions, monitoring, follow-up, pharmacy processes, and emergency escalation.
Protocols serve as a clinical reference. Every medical decision remains the independent responsibility of the treating provider.
Never share Nexu Health passwords, authentication codes, or account credentials. Do not allow another person to access the platform under your identity.
Access patient records only when necessary to perform assigned clinical duties.
Patient information must be handled only through approved systems and communication channels.
Providers must not:
- Send protected health information through unapproved email, messaging, or software
- Download or transfer patient records to personal devices or accounts
- Photograph, copy, or retain patient information outside approved systems
- Discuss patient information where unauthorized individuals may see or hear it
- Work in an environment where another person can view the screen
- Use patient information, communications, or experiences for promotional purposes without all required authorizations
Suspected privacy, security, or unauthorized-access incidents must be reported immediately through the approved Nexu Health security and Beluga Health compliance processes.
Patient safety, dignity, and welfare must always be the primary priority.
Providers must exercise independent clinical judgment. No patient, employee, platform, pharmacy, marketing material, or commercial objective may direct a provider to prescribe treatment that the provider does not consider safe and appropriate.
Compensation must not depend on whether a prescription is issued or which treatment is selected.
Never contact a patient for personal, romantic, sexual, promotional, or unrelated commercial reasons.
Do not solicit AmalfiDuo patients for outside services or use patient information, messages, photographs, or experiences for marketing without all required permissions.
Do not refer an AmalfiDuo patient to your own outside practice for personal financial benefit.
When outside care is needed, refer the patient to their primary healthcare provider, an appropriate independent specialist, or another suitable in-person provider based on clinical need.
Providers must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationship that could affect—or appear to affect—their clinical judgment.
This includes relationships with pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, supplement companies, sexual-wellness businesses, competitors, or other entities connected to treatment decisions.
Do not provide promotional statements or testimonials that overstate clinical evidence or imply guaranteed results.
Never provide medical care while impaired by alcohol, controlled substances, medication effects, illness, fatigue, emotional distress, or another condition that may compromise professional judgment or patient safety.

Emergency care must not be delayed while waiting for a response from AmalfiDuo, BeMediq LLC, Beluga Health, Nexu Health, or a dispensing pharmacy.
After addressing the patient’s immediate safety, follow the applicable clinical-escalation and adverse-event reporting procedures.
